I just had the same exact issue on the same exact phone. after doing some digging it seems like this happens when android has a problem optimizing one or more apps, so it stubbornly retries all of them. so i uninstalled apps one-by-one and rebooted, and the problem went away after uninstalling supersu.. Android is starting... optimizing app 1 of 1. - bad app installation - android system software update is not optimized apps properly. full load your phone. turn off, disconnect from ac. start and wait for the optimization process to come to an end. check settings>battery for app using most battery. deinstall that and reboot.. "android is upgrading, and afterwards it came optimizing application 1 of 158", later came as starting apps then tecno will come and the upgrading starts again for more than 24 hours. i need a solution to stop it and have access to the phone. i cant do anything with the phone so please give me the right solution.
Optimizing app 1 of 1" similar to after a regular ota, but i have about 100 apps usually. it will show that for about 3-5 minutes, heavily deplete battery and then function as normal and complete boot.. It goes through the motorola loading screen with the stitching animation but whe my lock screen should appear a white pop up appears infront of a black screen saying, "android is starting: optimising app 1 of 1" where it gets stuck..
